Pediatric Precision Medication Decision Support System
发布时间:2025-09-16

Children are often excluded from clinical drug trials, resulting in a severe lack of pediatric medication evidence. Off-label drug use is highly prevalent in this population, with an incidence of 36%–95%, far exceeding that of adults (7.5%–40%). This situation not only increases medication risks but also poses major challenges for clinical decision-making. Building a comprehensive pediatric medication evidence system and effectively translating research into clinical decisions and drug policies has become an urgent priority.

This project aims to develop a pediatric precision medication decision support system, establishing a safe and effective evidence-based framework for pediatric drug use through multi-level and multi-dimensional approaches. Its core consists of two pillars: a pediatric pharmacokinetic model, which accurately predicts drug absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion in children; and a complication risk assessment model, which quantitatively evaluates potential adverse reactions. Together, these models provide robust scientific support for safer and more effective clinical decision-making.
