On July 14, 2025, Subodha Kumar Chair and Distinguished Professor of Business, School of Business, Temple University will be invited to visit our university's Science Park, with the theme of Navigating the Future: Business Analytics and Disruptive Tech Trends in IS and Related Prof. Kumar not only enjoys profound influence in academia, but also serves as Associate Editor-in-Chief of POM, a top international journal, and President-elect of POMS, and has long been deeply engaged in the intersection of business analytics and information systems, and his research results have both theoretical depth and practical value for industry, which provide important academic support for the development of the intersection of global business analytics and information.

In the report, Prof. Kumar systematically combed the cutting-edge research and application potential of business analytics in ten key areas, including blockchain, social media analytics, healthcare, omni-channel retail, digital advertising, supply chain intelligent management, platform strategy, sustainable development, DEI, and humanitarian operation analysis, which cover the core practice direction of business analytics in the current digital economy. Among them, Prof. Kumar has proposed a number of forward-looking studies in platform governance and user behavior insights, in social media and content marketing modeling, and in data ethics and algorithmic economics.

Concurrently, Dr. Yading Yue, Senior Research Scientist at Tencent and Head of Quantum Algorithms for the “Quantum Penguin” team, visited for academic exchange. As a leading practitioner in integrating quantum computing with digital technologies, he has led Tencent’s quantum algorithm implementation projects and achieved breakthroughs in quantum optimization and quantum machine learning. His team is among the few in China to establish a complete cycle from algorithm development to engineering application and business value. During the visit, Dr. Yue provided specific guidance on algorithm design and logical frameworks for several projects at the Institute of eHealth.
