On 10 July 2025, Associate Professor Xun Tong of the University of Manchester was invited to visit the eHealth Institute.

Associate Professor Xun Tong is with the Department of Management Science and Marketing (MSM), Aston Business School, University of Manchester, and currently serves as an Associate Editor of Journal of Operations Management (UTD 24, FT 50) and OMEGA (ABS 3). He has published several papers in top UTD 24 international management journals such as Manufacturing & Service Operations Management (MSOM) and Journal of Operations Management (JOM), and his research focuses on environmental sustainability, labour dynamics, His research focuses on environmental sustainability, labour dynamics, supply chain management innovation and crowdfunding.

During the visit, Professor Tong held a seminar with the students of the Institute, in which Professor Tong gave them targeted guidance on the theme of academic publication and research growth. He focused on the whole process of choosing a topic for a high-level paper and responding to review comments, and shared his experience on how to efficiently carry out multiple research tasks during his PhD career, which provided valuable references to improve the efficiency of his research.
