On July 10, 2025, Dr. Jiaxing Shen, Assistant Professor in the Division of Artificial Intelligence, School of Data Science, Lingnan University, was invited to deliver a lecture at HIT Science Park (Room 2H425) on “Scalable Taxi Demand Forecasting.” Professor Shen introduced two innovative spatio-temporal deep learning frameworks—STZIP-GNN and SSTZIP-GNN—which demonstrated superior performance in predicting taxi demand. His talk highlighted the importance of dynamic adaptive frameworks for handling large-scale data and complex urban mobility patterns, providing both theoretical support and practical insights for smart city transportation and sustainable urban mobility. He also engaged with students, offering guidance on research questions and academic development.
