Dr. Hui-Yin Ou-Yang's Academic Visit and Exchange

    On December 26, 2024, Dr. Hui-Yin Ou-Yang, Assistant Professor of Operations Management at the University of Hong Kong Business School, visited the Electronic Health Research Institute of our university for academic exchange and delivered a cutting-edge lecture titled “Patient Sensitivity to Emergency Department Waiting Time Announcements” for teachers and students. Dr. Hui-Yin Ou-Yang is currently an Assistant Professor of Operations Management at the University of Hong Kong Business School. He was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences at Northwestern University. His research focuses on stochastic modelling and analysis of service systems, healthcare operations, simulation analysis, and data-driven decision-making.

    Dr. Ou-Yang's presentation was delivered in a clear and accessible manner, sparking intense interest among the students of the institute, who actively engaged with him in a lively academic discussion. Furthermore, Dr. Ou-Yang shared valuable insights on the development direction of the smart health field.
