eHealth Research Institute and Heilongjiang Academy of Chinese Medicine sign strategic cooperation agreement

On the morning of May 9th, the signing ceremony of strategic cooperation between the eHealth Research Institute of the School of Management of Harbin Institute of Technology and Heilongjiang Academy of Chinese Medicine was held at the 2H building of Harbin Institute of Technology. Professor Xitong Guo, Executive Director of the eHealth Research Institute led a delegation of six members of the institute attending the ceremony. Weiming Wang, Executive President of Heilongjiang Academy of Chinese Medicine, Peiqing Zhang, National Famous Chinese Medicine Practitioner and President of Kidney Disease Hospital, Bingcheng Hu, Director of Science and Technology Department, and relevant personnel from the Party Office, Contract Office and Kidney Disease Department attended the signing ceremony.

At the signing ceremony, Director Xitong Guo signed the “Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement” and “Cooperation Agreement” with Weiming Wang and Peiqing Zhang respectively, representing the official opening of strategic cooperation between the two parties.

Xitong Guo, Director of the Institute, introduced the eHealth Research Institute of the School of Management of Harbin Institute of Technology and its achievements in the past ten years since its establishment. The Institute has provided digital healthcare services such as disease early warning and diagnosis, chronic disease management, hospital operation and management, medical treatment and prevention integration, and collaborative prevention and treatment of specialized diseases for more than 100 health institutions and 20 provinces across China. He pointed out that this contract with the Heilongjiang Academy of Chinese Medicine is the first cooperation with a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) medical institution, and the two sides will mainly cooperate in the digital diagnosis and treatment project of TCM for kidney diseases and the construction of a digital platform for TCM for kidney diseases in the future. Using digital means, the academic ideas and treatment experience of famous and veteran TCM doctors will be formed into digital and standardized research, promoting the construction of a TCM knowledge graph and creating a TCM knowledge base for kidney diseases, so that the work of inheriting and innovating the experience of famous and veteran TCM doctors will be faster and less laborious while providing more content and more efficient learning methods for young doctors, which will eventually lead to public recognition of TCM and improve the level of health.
