Chronic disease chatbot

        According to “The Sixth National Health Services Statistical Survey Special Report”, major chronic diseases (such as cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, diabetes and cancer) account for more than 90% of national medical economic expenditure in China. The prevalence of chronic diseases among people aged 55 to 64 in China is 48.4% and the prevalence among people aged 65 and above is 62.3%. Chronic disease has become an important public health issue threatening the public lives and health due to its high morbidity and mortality rates, low awareness and control rates and high economic burden. With the development of natural language processing, AI and other technologies, daily technology-based health consultation services provided for key populations (such as the elderly and those with chronic diseases) can help reduce medical expenses of key populations. By constructing health knowledge graphs related to chronic diseases in terms of diet, exercise, medication and daily behavior, this project builds a health dialogue system via large language models and a chatbot for chronic diseases with functions of personalized health management, health state assessment, real-time medical consultation and mental health support. The project aims to assist patients in home health management and solve out-of-hospital healthcare problems affected by the lack of quality medical resources, difficulties in multiparty collaboration, and poor patient compliance.
