Professor Joseph Valacich has visited the eHealth Research Institute from Oct. 5^th to 17^th  Professor Valacich is a founding member of the Association for Information Systems (AIS), an AIS Fellow and a member of the Association for Computing Machinery. He is also an Eller professor of MIS at the University of Arizona. He has participated in numerous funded studies and published more than 90 papers. He has devoted himself to the study of cyber security, deception and fraud detection, human-computer interaction, technology-mediated group decision-making, electronic commerce.

Professor Valacich gave a brilliant academic presentation for all members at the Institute titled   ‘Did I Buy the Wrong Gadget? How the Evaluability of Technology Features Influences Technology Feature Preferences and Subsequent Product Choice’. 

Through in-depth and detailed explanation of research ideas and methods, Professor Valacich inspired members in the Institute to carry out research ideas in the field of eHealth along with giving important guiding functions for developing scientific research ideas.

In addition, Professor Valacich had talks with some members of the eHealth Research Institute and provided in-depth guidance to them.Professor Valacich said he had a good time in Harbin and is looking forward to further collaboration with the eHealth Research Institute.
