Professor Christopher Westland gave a presentation for the eHealth Institute at 2:00 pm, on July, 7th. He is a currently Professor in the Department of Information & Decision Sciences at the University of Illinois - Chicago and has been engaged in management information systems research for more than 30 years.

      The topic of the presentation was “Convolutional Neural Network Deep-Learning Models for Prediction of Shard Bicycle Demand”. From the presentation, students got a new view of deep-learning’s powerful function and broad application. By using Deep-Learning, Westland had successfully constructed a time-space 4D model for Mobike to evaluate usage stages of bikes and provide support for commercial operations. A lively discussion was held between Westland and the members of Institute. 

          The Institute Director - Douglas Vogel, expressed his thanks to Westland on behalf of the institute.
