On May 11, the closing ceremony of the Second Teaching Festival whose theme was “Consolidation for Creation and Pursue Excellence” was held in the Lecture Hall 201 of the International Conference Center of Science Park. President Yu Zhou made a speech and Vice President Xuemei Ding introduced the background and basic situation of the Teaching Festival. At the meeting, the school leaders Shuquan Wang, Xuemei Ding, Jujin Cai, Bin Guo, Shi An and Dingguo Xu gave out the prizes to the winners.

        During the Teaching Festival, our school awarded 5 prizes to students and 8 prizes to teachers, including Advanced Instructor With High Moral Values, Gold Instructor, The Good Teacher In My Mind, State-Level High-Quality Open Online Courses, Top-Quality Courses for Graduate Students, My Favorite Class Teacher, Excellent Instructor for College Students’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Activities, Excellent Instructor for Undergraduates’ Graduation Projects, Prize for Class With Zero Make-Up Examination, Prize for Ten Learning Stars, Prize for Studying Dormitory, Volunteer for Academic Assistance, The Most Beautiful Notes. The principals of the relevant units and representatives of teachers and students attended the closing ceremony. At the ceremony, the teacher Tianshi Wu won the Excellent Instructor for Undergraduates’ Graduation Projects prize.

        At the end of the ceremony Yu Zhou emphasized that we still have a long way to go, according to requirements of the construction of the first-class university and getting closer to center of the world stage. We should remain true to our original aspiration, keep our mission firmly in mind and work hard, act actively, boldly reform and innovate, with high sense of responsibility and courage of not afraid of difficulties to make the talents training work to a new level. We should strive to create brilliant achievements that belong to this new era and belong to our school.
