E-health is a breaking research area in the field of international information systems. Under the background of deepening medical system reform, supporting information interconnection and emerging IT technologiesare of great social significance to carry out electronic health research. In 2013, Prof. Guo Xitong and Prof. Doug Vogel who established the eHealth research institute at HIT. So far, it has formed an international group featuring Chinese research background + top international scholars + HIT team. The well-known eHealth research team (adhering to China's national conditions concept, developing platform advantages, and leveraging the strategy of international frontier results) has always been committed to solving medical problems, such as the difficulties of high cost and disruption to see a doctor. And what about electronic health research? What benefits can e-health bring to society? And what benefits can be given to hospital patients? With these questions, on April 26, 2018, Heilongjiang Daily reporter Tan Xiangzhu interviewed Guo Xitong who is the deputy director of the Institute of eHealth of HIT and the young top-notch talent of the “Millions Plan” program. Heilongjiang Daily No. 23283 related reports Reporter: What are the main areas of eHealth research? Prof.Guo: The eHealth research mainly includes two aspects. The first is intelligent health management, which is to effectively interfere with the health behavior of the majority of residents, explore dynamic warning methods for different types of disease characteristics, provide personalized algorithms for medical and health services, and form precise health management model, build a diffusion mechanism for medical services, and form a health services ecosystem; Second, health informatics, through clinical information technology to achieve clinical decision support, improve clinical treatment, save medical costs, and achieve personalized medical services. Reporter: Prof. Guo, on the exhibition board of your office, writes cities such as Henan, Wuhan, Yichang, Harbin, Zhuhai, and Ningxia. What it is the meaning? Prof.Guo: These cities are the places where the research results of the research team will come true. Over the years, our research search has maintained close cooperation with hospitals, government departments, hardware providers, and online platforms, and has been committed to building an industrialization platform. At present, a number of research results have been launched and have begun to benefit people. For example, Harbin Medical University and the Fourth Hospital will launch our intelligent software “endocrine rehabilitation follow-up platform” and “cardiac diagnosis and treatment intelligent rehabilitation platform” to help hospital departments perform intelligent scheduling, assist doctors in diagnosis and treatment, and facilitate patients to seek medical treatment. Reporter: How does the institute establish an electronic health bridge between doctors and patients? Prof. Guo: The institute's team extracts key information from the electronic medical record to analyze risk factors of the disease and perform intelligent diagnosis. Several hospitals in Hangzhou have launched a number of pilot projects that combine research and industry, such as developing business intelligence billboards, forecasting the number of outpatient emergency visits in hospitals, and setting up electronic medical record quality inspection systems. Through the establishment of an intelligent health management platform, it provides comprehensive health management services for institutional staff. It is planned to cooperate with scientific research institutions and government departments to build and renovate wisdom cloud hospitals, physical examination centers, rehabilitation centers, pension systems, and public health management service platforms to build a medical and health big data service analysis platform. In addition, we will cooperat with Alibaba Cloud and IFLYTEK jointly to build an “electronic health bridge” for doctors and patients. |
