The CHITA conference, which has been held once a year since 2012, effectively promotes the development of medical information technology and e-health. From November 3rd to 4th, 2017, the CHITA conference was held at the Westin Georgetown Hotel in Washington DC by the University of Maryland. There were 5 research sessions and 7 research panels which covered a number of research topics in the medical field, such as precision medicine, mobile medicine, telemedicine, health care reform and online healthcare. The conference gathered scholars and practitioners in the medical field. Everyone discussed health opportunities and challenges in a vibrant environment.

          Ph.D student Wang Liuan, was invited to attend the conference and presented a paper  for the social media panel. The paper,  “doctors' dynamic behavior on Online Health Community” was appreciated by the participating scholars and garnered good guidance. His study won the award for best student paper .
