Professor Gregory R. Heim from Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School and Professor De Liu from University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management were invited by Professor Vogel and Professor Guo to visit the HIT eHealth Research Institute for one week beginning 23rd June. Professor Gregory R. Heim and Professor De Liu discussed Healthcare related research programs with Professor Vogel and Professor Guo, and expressed his own attitude regarding distinct attributes of EMR system in hospitals in the context of China. Professor Gregory R. Heim has frequently visited the HIT eHealth Research Institute since 2013, and exhibited consistent research cooperation. Several Ph.D. students of the eHealth Research Institute expressed their academic research topics and contents to Professor Gregory R. Heim and benefited from academic discussion with him. Professor Gregory R. Heim is associate professor and Mays Research Fellow of Department of Information and Operations Management Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. His research and teaching interests include: (1) Supply Chain Management in Service Operations, (2) Impact of Technologies on Operations and Supply Chain Management, and (3) Empirical Analysis of Service Operations. Professor De Liu is associate professor and Ph.D. Coordinator of Carlson School of Management at University of Minnesota. His research and teaching interests include: (1) Internet Auctions and Contests, (2) Role of Social Network in Online Markets, (3) Crowd Sourcing and Crowd Funding, (4) Gamification and Digital Gaming. |
