From March 14 to 18, 2016, research team from eHealth research Institute (including Professor Xitong Guo and Dr.  Jinfeng Yang) co-organized the workshop on big data analytics in Dubai with Dr. Kathy Shen from University of Wollongong in Dubai. The workshop discusses big data analytics in retail and healthcare, and it was hosted in Dubai Duty Free (DDF) and University of Wollongong in Dubai.

In Dubai Duty Free, the workshop discussed about how to apply big data analysis methods and technics on retail data. It analyzes passengers purchase behaviors and builds prediction models. 

In the University of Wollongong in Dubai, the workshop mainly involved discussion about general scenarios of big data analytics application with a specific focus in healthcare domain.
