2019年3月25日至29日美国印第安纳大学伯明顿分校Hillol Bala教授受邀来访哈工大电子健康研究所。Hillol Bala 是印第安纳大学凯利商学院信息系统领域副教授，Fettig/Whirlpool Corporation研究员，数字企业研究所的联合所长。Hillol Bala 教授的研究领域是IT-enabled business process change and management, IT use, adaptation and impacts, and health IT。Hillol Bala 教授在顶级期刊MIS Quarterly, ISR, Management Science, Production and Operations Management, JMIS, Journal of Operations Management, Decision Sciences, Information Systems Journal, The Information Society, Communications of the ACM, and MISQ Exeucitve上发表多篇论文。

        2019年3月26日，Hillol Bala教授为研究所的同学们做了题为“It Takes Two To Tango: The Effects Of Internal And External Information Integration On Healthcare Process And Outcomes”的报告，细致地讲解了研究思路和研究方法，对同学们拓展研究思路，扎实理论基础意义重大。

        此外，在来访期间，Hillol Bala教授并与同学们进行了一对一的交流，对同学们在博士课题中遇到的问题进行了解答与指导，并给出了许多建议，让同学们受益颇多。
